Damn Am at Volcom in Costa Mesa         

This past weekend of October 24 - 26 was the Damn Am at Volcom in Costa Mesa, CA. This was one of two events that are qualifiers for the Tampa Am in 2004. Many skaters, young and old, showed up ready to just go off! The event kicked off on Friday with the vert contest. Every year this vert contest gets better as more and more fresh young faces are showing up to skate. It is always nice to see the young guys step it up on the vert ramp.

The event continued on throughout the weekend with the street semi-finals on Saturday and the finals on Sunday. All this was followed up by a best trick contest. A whole bunch of pros showed over the weekend including Tom Penny, Aaron Snyder, Lance Mountain, and many more. When the event finally came to a close Sunday evening ,no one left disappointed.
